The Mystery of the Megatherium Club (Moustaches and Mayhem) was an escape room-type game that we created through the galleries of the Smithsonian castle. It used a digital guide and a physical map to lead players through the museum, finding puzzles and objects that would let them uncover a final box and the answer to a mystery. It was built as part of the Smithsonian Teen Docent program and teens served as our puzzle testers and game masters. It ran for free for guests of the Smithsonian during the summer of 2017.
